Constitution #1hot!
-
This constitution works best with large established clubs that are very active. Elected officers include the Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, Fundraising Director, and Public Relations Director. It also calls for an Executive Director appointed by the Chairman and approved by the Executive Committee. All other appointments must be made by the Chairman and confirmed by the Executive Committee as well.

Constitution #2hot!
-
This constitution takes a one-size-fits-all format that can work for clubs both big and small. Elected officers include the Chairman, Internal Vice Chairman, External Vice Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, and Immediate Past Chair. The Internal Vice Chairman is charged with carrying out on-campus activities and the External Vice Chairman is responsible for off-campus activities, like central committee meetings and conventions. Appointments are made by the Chairman and require a majority approval by the Executive Committee.

Constitution #3hot!

In Constitution #3, the Board of Directors is the voting body that makes all final decisions for the club. The club officers make up the initial BOD, and anyone can be added so long as they are appointed by a current member of the BOD and approved by the Chairman. This centralized power and control in the Chairman. This Constitution has the same officers as Constitution #2, with the additions of Inter-Club Council Representative and Recruitment Chair. This is also probably the shortest Constitution you will find.

Constitution #4hot!

The club takes a very traditional approach to the setup and management of its Executive Board with 5 classic officers: the Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, and Immediate Past Chair. However, it also calls for standing committees whose members received approval by the general membership of the club. These committees include, but are not limited to, the Membership Committee, Fundraising Committee, Social Committee, and Historical Committee. No appointments are discussed in the constitutions.

Constitution #5hot!
-
This constitution is very basic and is designed to be used by a small club with relatively few active members. Its heavy focus on giving power to the Chairperson and Executive Committee officers is not suitable for a club of more than a dozen active members and simply does not have very much flexibility as far as appointments and committees are concerned.

Constitution #6hot!
-
This supped up version of Constitution #5 now has additional officer positions, including the Immediate Past-Chairman, Membership Chair, Social Chair, Executive Director, Publicity Director and Finance Director. The constitutional bylaws seem to be pretty clear about how the club should govern -- there is even a provision for how delegates to the California College Republican Convention will be chosen.
