College Republicans took a break from their own precincts this weekend in order to support one of the most important senate races of the state. Students drove over 5,000 miles and walked over 35,000 homes to rally support for the State Senate Candidate, Abel Maldonado. The CCRs walked the precincts, telephone banked, bracketed dozens of street corners, and were featured on CBS news. Because of the CCR’s canvassing efforts of the greater Monterey region the liberal opposition has been shaken. Maldonado was “happy to see this happened.” The success of the weekend will secure the seat for Maldonado and prevent a two-thirds majority of Democrats in the State Senate. Thank you for your diligence, only a week to go.
