There was an Academic Senate meeting on Wednesday afternoon which drew a large crowd, overflowing the room and leaving people standing outside the door.  Instructors called for disciplinary action against Molly McPherson and Danielle Carter for creating an environment of hostility, and also called for sanction of the College Republicans chapter itself.  There was nothing on the agenda regarding these decisions, but they may come up again on the 16th.  The SRJC College Republicans continue to get calls from media of all kinds and to work on putting together an open forum to discuss the issue of academic freedom for students as well as instructors.
